Design Thinking Teacher

We are looking for a Design Thinking Teacher for a Bilingual School based in Ningbo. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August 2025.

Job details

• Design and deliver a dynamic curriculum rooted in design thinking methodologies, integrating cross-disciplinary projects (STEM/STEAM, social studies, entrepreneurship).
• Facilitate hands-on, project-based learning experiences that challenge students to identify problems, conduct user research, and prototype solutions.
• Teach students to use tools such as empathy mapping, brainstorming, rapid prototyping, and user testing.
• Collaborate with other educators to infuse design thinking principles into school-wide initiatives or subject-specific lessons.
• Manage a makerspace or innovation lab, ensuring safe and effective use of tools (e.g., 3D printers, coding kits, recycled materials).
• Assess student progress through portfolios, process journals, and presentations, emphasizing growth mindset over traditional grading.
• Organize exhibitions, pitch competitions, or community partnerships to showcase student solutions.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in design thinking, technology, and education to refine teaching practices.
• Mentor students in developing resilience, teamwork, and ethical problem-solving skills

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• At least 2 years’ related teaching experience
• Teaching license
• Excellent English communicative skills

Salary and benefits

• Monthly Salary of 25,000 RMB to 35,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
