College Counselor

We are seeking an College Counselor for a High School based in Beijing. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August.

About the school

Comprehensive secondary school in Haidian District, recognized as a pilot for educational reforms by the Ministry of Education. It focuses on cultivating future talents with a blend of Chinese sentiments and a global perspective through its innovative educational models. The school has established international programs in collaboration with institutions from over 20 countries and offers a variety of curriculums including A-Level, AP, and IB. Additionally, it has a College Counseling Center that provides free consultation and application services for overseas universities, supporting thousands of students in securing admissions to top global universities.

Job responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to help students identify college and career goals;
• Assist with college selection, application processes, and interview preparation;
• Provide guidance on essay writing and application materials;
• Organize workshops and informational sessions regarding college admissions;
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support students' academic and emotional needs

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or above in the related subject
• Teaching certificate preferred
• At least two years of teaching experience in the relevant subject
• Excellent communications skills
